Garden Rabbit revealed....

Being around creative people always inspires me and this last camp was no exception.
When I returned home, I designed three new rugs and this is one of them.
I call it garden rabbit and it was inspired from an antique
 garden statue from a magazine.

Closeup of the face and body.

Pictures of the flowers.

Closeup detail of the border.

Here is the picture that inspired the rug. (source, Traditional Home, May 2010)
Where do you draw your inspiration?
Thanks for stopping by, Maria

That is one AWESOME design !! I love your rug , the colors are perfection !!!
I get alot of inspiration from strange places... I saw a picture of a contemporary design shower curtain one day . It had different almost abstract printed trees on it...it gave me an idea for different ways to draw primitive trees......weird....
But I love your inspiration and it came to fruition in a most wonderful way !!!

Maria,
I LOVE your garden statuary rabbit! You've captured his elegance perfectly! I get inspiration in strange places sometimes from the way a shape forms in the bubbles in the bathtub.... weird I know!
Will look forward to your website up and running!
Happy creating!

Absolutely beautiful, Maria! I have three rabbit rugs so I guess they are one of my favorite themes! Could you possible do this as a kit? I love the fabrics you have used. Especially the half circles and the purples.

Ladies, thanks for all the positive feedback. It makes me even more excited to create and hook new rugs.

Char, I can do a kit for you. Email me at davemariab@sbcglobal.net to discuss. Thanks, Maria
