They make my heart sing.
Isn't her Mister Snowman rug the best? There is also a tiny picture of my Halloween Hooligan pattern that is colored planned perfectly in the one photo.
She also hooked my Daper Sheep dude pattern which is just terrific.
I had the pleasure of working with Linda at Star of Texas Rug camp in Fredericksburg a couple of years ago and she is the most amazing hooker. Her loops are so high and she spaces them perfectly. I kept rubbing my hands over her rugs because I loved how they felt. Linda must have thought I was a complete loon!
Keep the pictures coming!.....Maria
Guess she doesn't blog? Her work looks lovely - and of course your patterns are part of the reason why!
ReplyDeleteThat was a great article and shameless plugs are a good thing! Love the Halloween pillows with the proddy edges!!
ReplyDeleteMaria, I have worn out the pages of these pictures in the ATHA booklet! I have your Little Drummer Boy pattern I need to get started on. I think I'll try to hook him higher. Does it make it feel much softer?
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your smile is from ear to ear. What lovely pieces! Your patterns are so cute.
ReplyDeleteLook at what Linda did with that pattern!!!! How precious is that???? What a stunner!!!!
ReplyDeleteGo ahead and plug your patterns. The ARE to die for!!!!!
Oh yes, try hooking a little higher and leaving more space between your loops. It feels so different than low packed loops. Only problem is that once you are used to hooking a certain way, it is so hard to change your style. I've tried...I start off hooking high and always end up at my normal height. Maria
ReplyDeleteI love how she added the proddy.
ReplyDeleteI used to get their magazine, love how they have all color now.

@ShabbySheep - Yes, it makes the rug much softer and you cannot help but touch it. I had Linda in class just a few weeks ago at the Star of Texas in Tyler. Her loops are amazing.
ReplyDeleteGreat! good work one this blog. Well done!
