Some new techniques used in this rug

I'll be teaching a class at the Star of Texas camp in Tyler in a few weeks. The camp is hosted by Cynthia Norwood and Katie Hartner and let me tell you, they run fantastic camps. I've tried to design a few new rugs for the camp and this is one of them. Photobucket

In this rug, I've used some new techniques such as the rolled wool flowers. These flowers look like they are proddied but they are not. I'll be teaching this technique at camp. I've also used some of the rolled wools in the flower in the left. Rather than make them round, I elongated them. As I finish the other rugs, I'll try to post them. Have a good weekend. Maria

    That is neat, love the techniques and the look. I do have tools for other methods, just never used them.

    Beautiful Maria! Such different techniques used to showcase the beautiful designs and wools of the rug. I'm know those Texas Star Hookers will be thrilled!

    One of these years (when I retire..LOL), I'm going to make it down there...I don't fly..so it'll be a loooong drive...but so worth it..maybe I can drag Lori with me!

    Maria - love the techniques used in this rug!! Will be able to drop by camp on exhibit day but travel conflict will keep me from attending fulltime. Will be sure to say hello!! wish you would WRITE A BOOK for those of us who can't attend the class - big ol' texas hint - smile!! sandi in texas
